Luan Rafael Domingos Santana (Campo Grande, March 13, 1991) is a Brazilian singer and songwriter. He began his career in 2009 with the independent album Tô de Cara and rose to fame with the song "Meteoro." Later that year, he released his first live album, Luan Santana Ao Vivo, which became one of the best-selling albums of 2010, achieved multi-platinum certification, and was nominated for a Latin Grammy for Best Sertanejo Music Album.
In 2011, his second live album, Ao Vivo no Rio, produced five singles that all reached number one on the Billboard Brasil singles chart. In 2012, he released his second studio album, Quando Chega a Noite, which also topped the ABPD album chart and earned him a second Latin Grammy nomination, with hits like "Você de Mim Não Sai," "Nêga," and "Incondicional." In 2013, he released his first EP, Te Esperando, whose title track became a radio hit in Brazil.
Also in 2013, Santana released his third live album, O Nosso Tempo É Hoje, selling over 250,000 copies and producing singles like "Tudo Que Você Quiser" and "Cê Topa?". His fourth live album, Acústico (2015), topped the ABPD rankings with hits like "Eu Não Merecia Isso," "Escreve Aí," and "Chuva de Arroz." In 2016, he released his third studio album, 1977, a tribute to women, earning him his third Latin Grammy nomination, with hits "Eu, Você, o Mar e Ela," "Dia, Lugar e Hora," and "Acordando o Prédio." Luan has topped Billboard Brasil's Hot 100 Airplay chart more than any other artist.
In 2017, he released singles "Acertou A Mão" and "Check-In." In 2018, he collaborated with CNCO on the Portuguese version of "Mamita" and Alok on "Próximo Amor," and released other singles like "2050" and "MC Lençol e DJ Travesseiro." In August of the same year, he launched the EP Live Móvel (Ao Vivo), which included hits like "Sofazinho" and "Vingança."
